Guy Long and Rose City are coming to Sacramento!
Summertime! is an immersive art pop-up showcasing paintings and installations that celebrate the Californian summer. Summer in California always means getting out and exploring our beautiful cities, beaches and mountains. With that idea in mind Guy Long and Rose City bring a little bit of the Sacramento Streetscape into the Timeless Thrills Flagship Store in East Sac.
Established in 2011, Timeless Thrills® is a Sacramento based menswear brand with a Flagship Store on J Street in East Sacramento. Rose City, CA is a trans-media art brand about a California town and its people. You may have seen some of the past Timeless Thrills and Rose City, CA collaborations like our SPCA benefit, our cartoon-ish reimagined store, or the iconic Tower Bridge and Water Tower prints. Summertime! is a continuation of this creative partnership with the centerpiece being a live mural painting in-store.
The mural being installed inside the store is inspired by the concept of getting out and about in the city while being on summer break growing up. The best way to get around town was the local bus. What better way of celebrating that than by bringing a Sacramento RT bus stop into the store itself, obviously reimagined with the Timeless Thrills empty hourglass.
Also showcased during the Summertime! install will be paintings by Guy Long and art from the world of Rose City, CA with imagery that reflects California’s landscapes, people and lifestyle.
There will also be souvenirs which include items like apparel, headwear, accessories, activity zines, and more. Finally inside our custom brochures you will find a commemorative poster of a California Scenic Highway sign. Put it on your wall and use it as encouragement to see more of our State, as well as escape to memories of past trips.
The Summertime! Pop-Up will take place Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 from Noon - 6pm. Guy Long’s live art installation will start days leading up to the Pop-up. The public is more than welcome to stop in and witness the live art install taking place leading up to the Pop-up on June 22nd.
